Shawna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience in mental health and addiction counseling. She holds certification in EDMR, Play therapy and TF-CBT therapies. She brings a compassionate, evidence-based approach to helping children and adults navigate their mental health challenges and recovery journeys.
Shawna earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kansas Wesleyan University, where she also completed specialized training in addiction counseling. She went on to receive her Master of Social Work degree from Newman University in 2008, providing her with a strong foundation in clinical practice and therapeutic interventions.
Shawna serves as the Executive Director at Catalina. In this leadership capacity, she provides guidance and support to the entire clinical team, ensuring the highest standards of care while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Shawna provides quality mental health services while also leading and mentoring fellow clinicians, making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families seeking support.
